Judy Freiwirth, Psy.D. is nationally known as a leading trainer and consultant in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the areas of strategic alliances and organizational transition, governance issues, and strategic planning and has served as a keynote speaker and trainer at many national and regional conferences. For 30 years, she has consulted to and provided training for over 200 community-based, regional, and national nonprofits. She is the founder and chair of a national network of capacity-builders and researchers, focused on developing new models of governance. She has also published numerous articles and publications including The Nonprofit Quarterly and Nonprofit Boards and Governance Review and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the primary national professional organization for nonprofit capacity builders. She holds a doctorate in psychology, specializing in organization development.
